HVAC & Duct System Inspections in Jupiter

HVAC & Duct System Inspections in Jupiter

Two different questions about your system

People in Jupiter call us about an air conditioning system for one of two reasons, and they need different things.

Either something in the air isn’t right and you want to know whether the system is the source. Or you’ve been told something about your equipment — a repair, a replacement, a number — and you want to know whether it holds up.

Full Spectrum Environmental does both. We inspect, we document and we tell you what we found. We are not the company that comes back afterward to sell you the work.

Cleanliness inspections in Jupiter

The hygiene question: is the equipment or the ductwork contributing to the problem, or is something else going on in the building?

We look at the coil, the blower and blower wheel, the plenum, the interior of splitters and accessible duct runs, and the ductwork itself — whether it’s leaking, whether it’s condensating, and what is actually visible inside it. Accumulation, moisture and visible growth are the findings that matter, and where they are matters as much as whether they’re there.

Jupiter runs from waterfront property in the east out to the larger lots of Jupiter Farms in the west, and the systems change as you go. Nearer the water, outdoor equipment takes salt exposure and indoor humidity loads are higher. Further inland the houses are bigger, the mechanical setups more varied, and the buildings often less tightly sealed. Seasonal occupancy matters here too — a house closed up for months with the system barely running is a very different starting condition from one lived in year-round.

What you get: a written assessment of whether the system is contributing, what the condition is, and what scope of corrective work — if any — is warranted. Sometimes the finding is that the system is fine and the problem is elsewhere. That’s worth knowing before you spend money on ductwork.

Scope varies by system, building and access. Each inspection is quoted to the property.

Functionality inspections in Jupiter — the second opinion

You’ve been told you need a new system. Or a repair with a number on it you don’t understand. Or you’ve had three companies out and gotten three answers. We’ll put gauges on it and tell you what we find. We don’t sell you the repair, so there’s nothing riding on the answer.

Gauges go on the system. We look at refrigerant-side performance — subcooling, superheat — along with flow and the overall operating condition of the unit, and we give you a judgment on whether the equipment is performing and whether the diagnosis you were handed is supported by what the system is actually doing.

Seasonal properties generate a specific pattern of call: the owner returns, the house smells wrong or feels damp, and the first contractor through the door quotes a replacement. Sometimes that is right. Often what actually happened is months of minimal runtime in a humid building, and the equipment is fine.

What you get: an independent read, in writing, that you can take back to whoever gave you the quote.

Scope varies by system, building and access. Each inspection is quoted to the property.

Technicians inspecting HVAC system for indoor air quality assessment

Why we look at both

A system that isn’t performing correctly isn’t pulling water out of the air the way it should. In this climate humidity is what feeds growth — on coils, in plenums, inside ductwork. So a cleanliness problem is frequently a performance symptom, and cleaning without correcting the cause is why so many people in Palm Beach County have paid for duct cleaning twice.
